Using the actual subject to direct paint, the principle behind object-oriented abstraction can be clearly seen:
Plywood sheets
(aka Construction Materials I)
Object-Oriented abstract painting
Acrylic on stretched canvas
(2003)
This is not a good photo.Unfortunately this work has long been in a private collection somewhere so I can’t offer you a better one. However, if the current owner wants to provide a better photo I’d love it.
The paint flows of the the plywood sheets, thus the subject of the painting becomes both object and instrument – the beauty and chaos of my special style.
